Rethymno town

Full of beautiful beaches, archaeological sites, Byzantine churches, quaint villages and cosmopolitan resorts, Rethymno is one of the most beautiful places in Crete. It is located between the prefectures of Chania and Heraklion and its capital boasts an elegant Venetian style of architecture. Rethymno offers cultural pride and natural beauty. Look out for the ornate doorways decorated with Venetian crests, Ottoman mosques with minarets and the wooden facades of mansions all waiting for your attention – before you emerge at the waterfront by the iconic harbour.

Lake Kournas - Georgioupolis

We continue our private excursion, heading east, where the lake of Kournas is located, one of the largest freshwater lakes of Crete. After admiring the natural habitat, we have free time to eat or drink in many of the neighboring taverns overlooking Lake Kourna and the opportunity to ride the famous pedalos on the lake and harmonize with the natural environment. Final destination Georgioupoli where you can visit the church of saint NIKOLAOS in the sea and enjoy the unique KALYVAKI beach, a beautiful area full of vegetation will offer you an unforgettable experience.
